Assay Discovery Cytoprint is using its proprietary image analysis and data mining technology for High Content Screening assay discovery. These assays are experimental protocols for measuring changes in biological functions. Assays are used by drug discovery scientists to screen leads for therapeutic effects as well as adverse side effects. Each assay for a disease-related biological function discovered by Cytoprint provides a powerful way for scientists to find the genes and proteins that participate in it, yielding validated targets for drug discovery. As Cytoprint develops these assays, we are also creating a large database of experiments will be used to discover not only individual biological processes but also the interrelationship between cellular processes and their associated genes and proteins. This database will be a tremendously valuable reference and research tool for drug discovery.
